My experience with TD Waterhouse has not been positive. They are quite happy to accept deposits. Just don't try to make a withdrawal. I submitted the inter-brokerage transfer froms to them expecting something to happen within a week. After two weeks I called and they claimed they did not get it, even though my fax machine verified that they did. After sending the forms again it took 4 weeks to process the transfer. This latest request is just one of a long series delays. One prior withdrawal took 3 months to process. The worst part is it happened during last year's sell off. My advice is don't get within a 1000 yards of this company.

i have an account with TDWaterHouse and installed a Firewall and BlackICE in my computer. When BlackICE shows Intruder 207.16.41.250, I cannot login TDWaterHouse website and disconnect if I have login. I use ping in Command DOS and find 207.16.41.250 is actually www.TDWaterHouse.com. Therefore I believe TDWaterHouse grabbing data from my computer. Besides, when I call in for my account status like Day Trade and available funds, three out of four representatives could not answer my questions.

Customer service at TD waterhouse is terrible. I disliked the hidden fees but my main concern was the customer service.

I'm a mid-level employee of TDW. The differences in discount brokerage services really come down to what you pay for these services. Individual criticisms are a factor of the individual brokerage employees' performance and professionality in providing services. As with any company, some employees perform better than others. I believe TDW provides its customers with well trained professional employees. However, I'm aware of that some areas of TDW's service need improving. Now that TDW and Ameritrade are merging, nobody here can say whether or not TDW customers will benefit in the end. Ameritrade will have ultimate control in forthcoming business decisions.

I've been a customer for a long time... but not for much more. Customer service is very poor. I've been complaining for ages about how their portfolio tracking tools are almost useless. Now I find out they have new tools that would probably meet my needs. At the same time they are refusing to allow me access to the tools they are advertising them on TV and giving them to new customers. So if you open an account expect that the level of support they give you after you're a customer will be pretty bad. In talking to customer service I've gotten nothing but run around and conflicting info with excuses like oh, if only you had spoken to the right people a few days ago we could have helped you but now you've missed the deadline. This is after calling repeatedly about this problem for a month or two. Also, they charge $30 transaction fee on most mutual fund orders... while other brokers have started refunding part of the 12b1 fees.
