Probably the most famous sight of all and represents the world's vision of London. I am proud of it too and it is warmly reassuring to Londoners.

This landmark alone makes me proud to be British. The first place for any foreigner to visit and a tourist hotspot. Whenever I get visitors from abroad it feels great showing them a monumental piece of British history. If you look on any London postcard and they feature famous landmarks you can gurantee Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament will be on there.

Big Ben had been my dream to visit when i was in the 2nd grade and seen pictures of it. I finally got to visit when i was 30 years old. What a beautiful sight. I have enlarged the pictures and have them all over my house. I will always love London> It is my favorite. Loretta K Piketon, Ohio

Big Ben and Parliament is set in an absolutely gorgeous, clean area of London. If you go there via the Jubilee Line, you get to see the Line extension which is so modernistic and huge! It doesn't take long to get to the Thames so you can see all the fantastic things on the South Bank (Book Market, theatre etc). Well worth it!

It is important to see London and Big Ben. One begins to understand where we came from. It is also very significant as history. Part of being a complete person is travelling. Big Ben is good because of its location (proximity to other attractions) and general feel.

The architecural work and craftmanship here are very impressive. This is a beautiful building. No wonder it makes an appearance in the James Bond film "The World is not enough" during the boat chase scene.
