Built in the 14th Century by Taddeo Gaddi over the widest part of the Armo River. It has been rebuilt and restored many times because of floods. It known for its jewellery shops and has a long standing history with gold and sliversmiths. It was the only bridge in Florence to survive WWII. In 1966 a huge flood wiped out the shops but the bridge was still standing.
