Cairns is great if you use it as a base to explore other areas. There's the reef,. the rainforest and just about every adventure activity around. http://ngd.com.au/cairns

Quite frankly, this is a dump in North Queensland. If you miss this, you haven't missed much.

I was born in Cairns but since I moved at around 1 I can't remember any of it, but a friend told me Cairns was a hot and humid hole with dumps everywhere. Sorry about the c****y review, but until I go back there, this is all I can say.

Strange to see a mud beach on the ocean! Is a great place to use as a point of departure to go to the Reef.
