Charge a lot of fees. Even charge maintenance fees to a zero balance account. Don't recommend keeping an account with Sovereign Bank.

it is one of the horrible bank.
and i was charged overdraft fee even thuough it was the bank mistake,
and this bank has too many fradulant rules and do not inform customer
before the account is opened and once they open the account then charge
all kinds of fee/ overdraft fee 33 dollars per trans/ 5 dollar per day penality untill the
account is up to date. Why do they let the customer draw the money from AYM/ debit
card when there is no money and then take their time to inform.
their website does not work, when checking the balances.

If I could give negtive stars I would. Wort bank I have ever been with. They charge you out the wazoo for everything and anything. If your thinking about apoening an account with them, don't do it to yourslf. You will regret, for sure.

I like Sovereignbank - everything fair and clear! Unfortunately they don't have branches in California, that's why I had to close my account.

I've been using Sovereign Bank for two years now, and no major complaints. Experience in a few branches has consistently been good. Customer service is average. Two calls to change my address took a while and some transfers but issue was finally resolved.

Downside to the bank is their pretty unforgiving overdraft charges. Be very conscious of this because it's happened to me twice. Thirty-five bucks per overdraft, plus five dollars a day after a few business days. There was no indication that I had overdrawn until 3 days later! Online account showed a delay for a big charge I had made, so It made it appear like I was good.

Overall, pretty competent average bank. No major complaints.
