She was troubled.

Sarah was barren and she was never able to bear children to Abraham, yet, even so, Abraham loved her above all else. In an act of lack of trust in God's power to give Abraham a son, Sarah gave one of her Egyptian slave to Abraham to have a son with her. Eventually, God fulfills His promise to Abraham and Sarah conceives Isaac.
