God has many names. Yahweh just doesn't do Him any justice though. It sounds like some name a holier than thou individual would give to him.

Yahweh means I am who I am, basically, or is probably the Canaanite God El, I thought he was a little harsh and egotistical.

Yahweh is another name for God. Most Jews will not say this name aloud; they believe it is too sacred to be spoken.

Yahweh is the name of God, given for the first time to Moses when he asked Him who is the God of Israel that demands His people to be freed. God has created science and can explain everything. Science did not create God and there are too many things it cannot explain.

Give Him an honest chance and you'll be amazed. But, be honest.

Now this is a great character in the Old Testament. Ill-tempered, capricious, demanding and murderous. Absolutely fascinating. I have this image of him saying, like Jules in Pulp Fiction:

"Hand me that lightning bolt. Its the one with "Bad Motherf***er on it."

I. . .love. . .big Y. The O.T. god whose complete horrifying behavior gets glossed over by those far too enamored with the books of the Old Testament. Bad-ass, flaming shite from heaven, bullying, dominating, homicidal figure who has somehow been giving a wonderful PR clean-up by Jews and Christians alike. But O.T. fallacies, inconsistencies, and impossibilites aside, big Y is certainly one of the most memorable character/figure in anything I've ever read. Have an issue? Flood the shite out of 'em and start over!
