Subaru introduced the Tribeca originally in 2005 as an '06 as the B9 Tribeca. As of 2008, the name has been reduced to, simply, Tribeca. It competes with the Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, and Nissan Murano, among others. (Add picture)

After driving a relative's Tribeca, I have come to the conclusion that, despite it's love it or hate it exterior styling, this a very nice vehicle worth a look. One of the vehicles attributes is it's wonderful interior. There are plenty of lights to see buttons in the dark, and the gauges are well lit. The dash is in the shape of a modified W (like the old Toyota Previa minivan, only not as exaggerated), which puts controls within easy reach of any of the front seat occupants. The seats themselves are very comfortable, both front and back. My only complaint would be, that despite having 250hp, power felt lacking, which was more exaggerated by the Utah mountains where I traveled. This was changed in 2008 to a larger 3.6 liter engine from the earlier 3.0. 2008 brought about a styling change, bringing a more toned down front-end with different lights and grille. Overall, this is a very good vehicle worthy of consideration.
