The Daytona 500 is over already? You could have fooled me.

The Daytona 500 is a great race, but its importance is in all of the build up that occurs to start the NASCAR season. Once the 500 is over, it truly seems anticlimactic.

They call it the Super Bowl of auto racing, yet its at the start of the season, so not even a fan like me can haul out a fifth star.
