Not just the Zona Rosa, but all of Mexico City is truly great. A really beautiful city. I like the parks, food, people. Yes, in many places its not a good idea to be out by yourself, but still well worth the visit. The air not as polluted as people say. I never had any problems. I like Mexico City and the surrounding areas an awful lot. Peubla, Cholula, Coyoacan, El Popo. Pretty neat.

Run down, and kind of shady, but still worth a look. Plenty of trashy bars and dangerous looking people lurking around make it a good place to get yourself in trouble. While there are plenty of nice places to go in Mexico City (Polanco, Condesa, Coyoacan, etc.), La Zona Rosa is cool because of its seediness... it's the kind of place where no self respecting Mexican would be caught dead in, but it is also the kind of place that you do not want to miss if you are somewhat of a risk-taking tourist.
