I have been shopping for my wedding gown for a really long time. My Maid of Honor and I have been to many different shops in the Tampa Bay area. I finally went to Jon's Bridal on Busch Blvd yesterday and was completely amazed! The service in the prior stores I visited did not compare at all to the wonderful service I received at Jon's. My Bridal Consultant, Tessie, showed me all the dresses in my size and helped me put the dress on. My Maid of Honor had to do all the work at the other stores we went to. We also were in and out of Jon's faster than any other store. If you are looking for an extremely affordable dress with exceptional service, I recommend you to stop by Jon's!

Wonderful selection of one of a kind dresses. Great discounts on dresses for the entire wedding party. Personalized wedding dress consultant adds to the wedding dress selection process. My consultant was soft spoken and let us narrow down the dresses , but made us feel confident that we had picked THE DRESS. Store atmosphere was perfect. Good selection and good prices.

From the minute I walked in I was in amazed. The store is huge and soooo beautiful. They have a bigger selection than any other store I had been to and the prices were very reasonable. The consultant was so tuned in to me and my mom. I had shopped a lot for a wedding gown before I went to Jons and the majority of the dresses there I had not seen in any other store. The few that I had seen in other stores were half the price at Jons. I found the gown of my dreams and neither my mom or I could stop crying. The really great thing about Jons Bridal is that you can try on dresses IN YOUR OWN SIZE. I went in with several pictures I had printed out and when I tried on those dresses they were not that exciting. You really need to see your wedding gown in your own size on your own body in the mirror to know when you find THE DRESS.

From the point of being greeted the entire experience at Jons Bridal was phenomenal. We were actually headed to a different location not knowing we would see Jons Bridal. This was the best bridal store I've ever been in ! I will defiantly recommend others to come and share the experience. People told me that shopping for a bridal gown would be stressful. AT Jons not only was it NOT stressful it was actually the equivalent of visiting Busch Gardens; full of adventure, thrill and satisfaction.

WOW, where can I begin...? I walked in and was immediately greeted by my consultant. She was amazing! She put me in a few gowns and watched my facial expressions and figured out just exactly what my style was. She asked me so many "right" questions. I bought my gown and can say I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. Jons Bridal really knows how to make a bride feel special. The store is beautiful and the selection is huge. There are thousands of wedding gowns there. I am so glad I found them. I saw they have been voted best bridal store in Tampa bay for the last few years and they will sure get my vote this year.

I saw online that Jons Bridal was voted as the best bridal store in the Tampa Bay by girls on the knot for 2007 and 2008. After going there I can say that they will have my vote for 2009
When I was looking for my wedding dress I went to at least 10 other stores before I got to Jons Bridal. All I can say now is that I wish I had not wasted all that time and just gone to Jons FIRST. They are huge (like the size of 10 stores in one) and it is awesome to try on wedding gowns in your own size. The prices were lower than anywhere else and they had good service. What I liked most was that had a lot of styles that were not anywhere else. I like the idea that I'm not wearing the same wedding gown as hundreds of other girls.

I had a wonderful experience picking out my wedding gown at Jon's Bridal. I really expected to have to shop and shop! But such a huge selection and wonderful service from my consultant made it a one stop experience. My consultant deserves a raise. She was genuine, honest, and quick as lightning.

I came all the way from the Ft. Myers-Cape Coral area to find a dress and found it in two hours! The staff was funny and it was worth the trip.

This place is amazing! As a short, plus-size bride finding a wedding gown even remotely my size has been difficult, But Jons had many and I found the dress I really wanted! My consultant was fantastic! Friendly and helpful. I will recommend Jons Bridal to all my friends!

I had such a wonderful experience at Jons Bridal. My consultant was like my Fairy Godmother in that she made my day. She was so patient and helpful and her bubbly personality made me feel like a giddy little girl. This is my second wedding and I came in with an attitude that my body didn’t look good enough for such beautiful gowns. My consultant changed my mind and helped bring out my “real woman” figure and enhance my curves properly. She made special suggestions to alter the dress to suit me perfectly. I had such a wonderful experience at Jons and will recommend your store to everyone.

I was impressed just by walking in the door. The way your shop looks is just beautiful. The help is wonderful and so very nice. My consultant was a peach. I felt so comfortable and all my needs were attended to. I would recommend this shop to everyone I know that will be getting married. I enjoyed my experience here. Beats another large bridal chain store by far.

I LOVED Jons Bridal. They are huge and have thousands of wedding gowns. The consultant was not pushy at all and I was able to try on as many dresses as I wanted. I found a gown that I have not seen anywhere and I really appreciated that they do not have all the same gowns as every other store. I can only say I just wish I had gone here first and saved myself a lot of time.

Overall my experience at Jon's Bridal was bad. I agree with other reviewers, that the whole staff, owners incl, seem only to care about money. Naturally, it all comes down to business, no matter where you buy your dress from. But I urge people to look at reviews from other sites and take note of how highly unfair the store has treated other customers and ask yourself if it's worth the risk. Personally, I have enough to worry about, I'd rather buy from somewhere.

Other thoughts/experiences:
1) They implemented this new rule on 02/16/09 that you have a pay a $75 for your 3rd visit. The first 2 times I visited the store, this rule was not in place. When I called to make a third appointment, they wanted to charge me the fee. I understand that they have their reasons for having this new policy, however, it was extremely unfair in my situation because I was unware of the brand-new policy until I called to scheudule my 3rd appointent. Only after I convinced the rude owner that I was seriously considering a dress I had tried did she waive the fee.

2) In my personal experience, the salespeople were not helpful. Yes, they help you change into the dresses but it's really to keep you from damaging the dress

3) Honestly, I think that the salespeople give you "personal attention" to really SELL you the dress. Of the handful of bridal shops I've been to (both large chain and boutiques), JB's salespeople are the pushiest. The salespeople and the owners, one of whom is sometimes in the store, give off a vibe similar to a car salesman.

4) "The largest selection in Florida" is misleading. A bride could find a much wider variety at any store just because she can custom order her size in any style that the store carries. Jon's Bridal only carries one dress in each style, and sometimes only in one size.

RUDEST OWNERS AND AWFUL SERVICE-ALL THEY WANT IS THE MONEY!
I went to Jon's Bridal today with my sister who is getting married in two weeks. My sister went there by herself and bought a dress there 2 days ago in kind of a rush.This weekend we went back to return it because it was too tight (she is pregnant). Also, her and her fiancee decide to just have a small wedding and Jon's did not have a selection of informal dresses.
My sister first called the store and explained her situation and they told her to come in at 5:00. We went into the store, around 2:00 because we were in the area and very calmly explained our situation to the woman who was supposedly the owner. The first thing she did was yell at my sister for coming early. It was VERY clear that they had wanted her to come in later so that no customers would be their terrible service. I explained to the woman that we would take a reduced return (even though there is no reason for it since the store wouldn't be out of money-the dress was unworn with tags still on it and was purchased two days earlier.)
We are very calm reasonable people yet somehow the situation escalated into the owners (the woman and Jon M. Salzman) screaming at us in the front of the store. She even threatened to call the police and screamed that we were threatening her. I have no idea where that came from.
My poor sister was sitting there crying, my mom was freaking, and I was trying to be reasonable. They told my sister "It's not our fault you bought a dress." Also, when my sister asked who actually owned the store (because the woman who said she was the owner said she didn't have the power to return it) the woman screamed at her "That's none of your business!"
I tried to talk to the owners in private in a calm way but they kept yelling and saying they wouldn't talk to us. I can't believe that a place was so desparate for $700 that they were willing to make such a scene. Many customers left after we did. I can't even express my shock with this service. This is supposed to be such a happy time for my sister and these people made it into a nightmare!

We went to a consignment store across the street afterwards and the very nice owner said that she has heard the same awful stories about Jon's Bridal from other people. Brides end up giving her their dresses to sell in hopes of getting at least a little bit back.
