Horrendously unfunny British sitcom set in a department store.Consists largely of moronic music hall jokes that were last thought to be amusing sometime around the Battle of Waterloo, and plot lines that were about as convoluted as a Dick and Jane book.

I first saw this show in December of 1993. I've always enjoyed it. I bought every one of the shows on DVD. The program is some dirty. A prude here in Tennessee complained because it's not politically correct. The people in this show sell clothes at a fictional store called Grace Bros. The show mostly takes place on the floor that they're on. It also took place in the restaurant. The cooks are so bad. that they could easily make people puke because of food poison. Some shows irritated me. But I liked most of them. I give AYBS a 4 star rating.

Always good for a chuckle back in the entertainment starved '80s.

1300 years of great drama in some form or other from Beowulf to Shakespeare and Marlowe to Shaw to Monty Python down the drain...

Clearly PBS gets to run this show without paying any royalties or fees of any kind. It has the incredible distinction of being the only British produced comedy programme that is not in any way, shape or form funny.

Average British sitcom. Good cast, production values minimal, writing pretty good. The show lost some of the better characters over the years which led to an overall decline in the humor. Four stars in the early days. Barely three in the last year.

Great show, interaction between the characters is great. Never tire of the show.
