A shameless ripoff of Wally the Green Monster and The San Diego Chicken. Phanatic sucks!

I'm not a big fan of mascots in baseball, but if you have to have one, I'd rather see the Phanatic than something like that damn Wally in Boston or that horrendous BJ Birdy in Toronto.

A fantastic mascot. The pranks he pulled on Tommy Lasorda and Billy the Marlin are the stuff of legends.

The Phanatic is the most OVERRATED mascot ever! 2nd rate Chicken imitator.

Here we have on of the better mascots in baseballdom. I actually enjoy watching the Phanatic.

the Phanatic puts on a clinic every time he takes the field, and it's called: how to excel a mascot. he drives over dummies wearing opposing teams' uniforms with his ATV; he steals hot dogs from careless fans; he makes out with the nice-looking female fans; he heckles umps; he dances the macarena; he is perfect in every way.

I can't give the Phanatic a 5 because he does represent Philadelphia...sorry. He is completely awkward and makes no sense at all. Despite this he has survived for over 30 years, which has to mean something. He does bring a lot of character to Phillies games, so he deserves some credit for keeping people entertained in such a depressing sports town.

Between watching Philly fans get drunk and yell at the players, each other, and phantom gods, notice how this real rough pack of fans respect and like the Phanatic- a real treat for kids at the ballpark.

The Phanatic is just awesome. He continues to perform at a high level, season after season - through good Phillies years (rare) and bad (the norm.) There is no better mascot in professional sports.
