Serrano's is a surprisingly high end pizza place housed in what looks like a dive pizza place. It's made to order slices here - expect to wait 10-15 minutes for a slice - and the quality is very, very good. The Lunch Special is the way to go here. You can a massive slice (like 2-3 normal slices), a salad, and a drink for about $7. And the salads are surprisingly good, with a bit of cheese, olives, and a few peppers in them.I found the sauce a bit sweet for my taste, and in terms of made to order pizza, I prefer the ones at Katz bagels on 16th. But this is good pizza - worlds better than say Cable Car, and comparable to Arinell - but without the immediate satisfaction.

Good pizza. The sauce tastes especially dimensional. The cheese is stringy and fresh. The crust is so-so. The cheapest slice on the menu is Hawaiian for $4, tax included. The slice is HUGE. I like to eat there at one of the 2 outdoor tables. They give you a nice big glass plate + real utensils, although that knife doesn't do much for the tough/hard crust. Overall, a good meal. But yes, do expect a 15 min wait.

Pretty good and they make had made pizza slices. Expensive for a veggie slice (~7). But worth it
