This is probably my favorite way to drink bourbon, although I usually throw just a little bit of 7-Up in there too if I have it. If you have high quality bourbon, just go a little lighter on the sour mix so that the taste still comes through well. But if you have some pretty low quality bourbon, just use a little more sour mix. Even stuff like Ten High isn't too bad with some sour mix and 7-Up.
