The sense of tasting is one of the most crucial, especially since through it we are enabled to decide what enters and what not in our digestive system. But it is also a sense that gives us great pleasure when the right food or combination of nutrients causes us to feel great pleasure. It is also used to judge another person's priorities: "you have a good taste" or "you are so tasteless", of course having nothing to do with the sense of tasting.
