Not to downplay the sense of accomplishment involved but, it really shouldn't make or break you as a human being. That is, unless you're competing in a most boring obsessive disorder contest. Weight loss can go to some people's heads. One of my relatives had gotten dangerously over weight and had bypass surgery. Once she lost all the weight she went into a kind of mid-life crisis/second childhood (or more accurately second teen-hood) phase. Not that you couldn't understand how proud and relieved she was but she really let it get the better of her and she became so irritating and flip you wanted to just form a line (ala Airplane) and slap her to sleep.

Sounds like something they'd say in a Jenny Craig or Nutri-System commercial. I call it baloney! Since when did looks make a person any less of a human being?
