They have been a competitive team and are still neck and neck with the White Sox. I think Chicago will pull out the AL Central title, but the Twins won't be a surprise if they pull ahead in the next few weeks. Lots of credit has to be given to the Twins for being a solid organization that never seems to have a bad year, despite their financial constraints.

There's still hitting talent like Mauer and Morneau, plus ROY runner up Delmon Young arrived in a trade with Tampa Bay. There isn't a lot of power beyond Morneau. The team is banking on Francisco Liriano to come back after missing the entire '07 season, and there really isn't much else of note in the rotation- just retreads and youngsters. The bullpen's pretty solid but they may very well trade star closer Joe Nathan at some point. While I don't think they'll be absolutely terrible, they should be fairly bad- Cleveland and Detroit will be very far ahead of them in the AL Central.
