Ok, Cubs fans, before you start getting the vapors, repeat after me...... "Kerry Wood is our closer. Kerry Wood is our closer"

Wouldn't be my first choice to be handing the ball to with the game on the line.

Of course, given his track record, he'll probably be on an injury rehab assignment by May.

If this was 1908 you could give them a 5- they handily beat the Tigers.. a lot of people don't know this, but the Cubs were an absolute powerhouse from 1906-1910 AVERAGING 104 wins a year and winning a pair of Series against Detroit. In strict terms of sheer dominance, it was one of the great teams in the game. Of course, the rest is history... Milwaukee could provide more of a challenge this time around, and the Cubs have some weaknesses. Relief pitching isn't great with this bunch, and they're not all that strong up the middle. Soriano, Lee( if healthy) and Aramis Ramirez provide a strong offensive core, and there is some good starting pitching here. I think they have a solid shot at the playoffs, though I don't think they're definitely a Series caliber team. 3.5 stars.
