I was a little nervous to use their service, given some of the reviews. I was so nervous, I even scheduled a backup "paid" service just in case.

I was pleasantly suprised. I had approximately 60 people on the call, the web manager interface worked great, I had another presenter get on via the "speaker code" which worked fine, and everything was recorded fine with no issues.

The call I hosted lasted for 2 hours and 10 minutes, with 60 participants. The paid service I scheduled as a backup, at $.039 per minute, would have cost over $300.

I was very satisfied and would not hesitate to use them again.

This system used to work better. In the past 6 months, service has steadily deteriorated. Calls are staticy, participants say they cannot mute or unmute, and worst of all, in the past 2 months, their web manager (a great feature!) no longer works. Despite using the phone controls to record calls, the calls are no longer being recorded.
We have never received any reply to any customer inquiries or complaints.

A year ago, I would have highly recommended Basement Ventures. Now...we are bailing and looking for another provider, and are more than willing to pay for good, reliable conference call provider, who doesn't charge by the caller.

Great when it works. Callers get dropped and sometimes it is not possible to connect. Twice I have dialed in to find another party using the line - totally unrelated to my biz.
