Felipe Alou (San Francisco Giants) 2

Very nice guy but nothing more, at least in my painful recent experience as a Giants fan. His kindness frequently made him overly loyal to players; for example, he was far more patient with Pedro Feliz than anyone should have been, starting him long after the team had developed viable alternatives. He had very little ability to manage a bullpen. Alou's stay in SF, I'm afraid, felt like an interregnum between legitimate coaching talents like Roger Craig, Dusty Baker, and Bruce Bochy.
