Topps decided to add a new wrinkle to this set-- by making three mini cards instead of one card which were perforated --and hasn't ever been done since, the script used for the team's name was similar to that of the 78 baseball set with the cursive letters. Of course these cards are only truly valuable today if you have a card which is still together instead of torn up. I bought these cards as a kid but unfortunately wasn't bright enough to keep a card together and instead cut them up, like I think most kids did. the most valuable card from this set being the Larry Bird/Julius Erving/ Magic Johnson card.
