Cameron Dollar was a point guard who is best remembered for coming off the bench in the 95 title game to replace Tyus Edney who could only play 3 minutes because of a wrist injury, against Arkansas, and was able to break the Razorbacks full court pressure defense, to hand out eight assists to lead the Bruisn to an 89-78 triumph and its 11th national championship. Cameron was a good play-maker and defensive player who had oustanding leadership skills. Cameron was also a great-clutch scorer who scored the game winning lay-up against Iowa State in the regional semi-finals in the 97 tournament against Iowa State to catapualt the Bruins to the regional final with Minnesota. Cameron could also hit the occasional oustside jumper and three pointer, but his shot was not consistent enough to warrant being drafted by an NBA team. After his college career ended, he went straight into coaching, and spent time as a head coach at a junior college, then was an assistant under Georgia, St Louis and is currently at Washington under Lorenzo Romar (who was an assistant coach at UCLA when Dollar was a player).
