It is not impossible to overcome discouragement, but it can be very difficult.

Let's face it, we have all faced discouragement at some point in our lives. We go through the usual depression, mumblings, pouting, whatever, than we snap out of it, get back in the fight and come out swinging. We won't get all of our hearts desires and that is just a fact of life.

Life can be very stressful. This year for me has been a difficult one. Our Lord is very aware of our current situations and wants to help us. I know this is true but I so often try to carry the load myself. He wants us to give him our worries, concerns, troubles and even our guilt. He cares for us and will bear that load. He knows and feels our pain; he sees our tears. He suffered so we would not have to. Sure there will be trying times because we live in an imperfect world but the more we rely on him by giving those stressful issues to him, the happier we will be.

Everyone has some sort of discouragement in their life, but it is about overcoming and moving on. It's a matter of picking up and plowing forward. Not a problem for me.

With many more ups than downs, this giant is pretty much under control. It take some really great effort for something or somebody to make me feel discouraged.
