I'd cheerfully pay to see him moderate a panel discussion between such legendary grumps of the game like Dave Kingman, Jim Rice, and Steve Carlton on one side, and iconoclasts like Bill Lee, Jimmy Piersall, and Mark Fidrych on the other. Throw in Billy Martin, Lou Piniella, and a case of tequila, and with any luck it would be the end of Buck.

04/08/2008 | In a perfect world, during a Fox ( terrible baseball coverage all around- Scooter the ball, the random fan cam , etc.)baseball event, a late 50's beatnik or Maynard G. Krebs would pop up behind him and say 'Like man, this cat is from Squaresville.." McCarver and Buck must be half of the Four Horsemen, I'm surprised they're not on things Christians should avoid list
