The Indians used the same design for its uniforms from 1972-1979 with differing color schemes. They weren't too bad in general but the All Red Road jerseys used by the club from 1974-77 ruins it for the rest of the uniforms used in this time period as it goes down in my opinion as the UGLIEST baseball threads of ALL TIME. My theory about the person who designed these uni's is they were either two of the following (or perhaps both):
1) A convict on the run from the Fashion Police hoping not to serve time in Fashion Prision
2) An American citizen who was actually a double agent for the Soviet Union who put subliminal communist propogranda onto the uniforms which would hynotize American baseball fans into accepting and beliving communist propoganda. Some of the subliminal messages hidden on these uniforms were:
1) Communism is Good
2) The Soviet Union is Your Friend
3) The United States and Capitalism is Evil
4) Our athletes do not use steroids at the Olympics--and that includes the weightlifters!
Perhaps if you can find a pair of those movie glasses you wear to watch a 3-D movie, you can also discover some of that subliminal wicked Soviet propoganda
