04/11/2008 | Obscure but very good psychedelic tune, a kind of mix of soft psychedelia and vaudeville with, of all things, a nice xylophone solo not really about sports at all- in fact, it sort of has an anti sports vibe... but The Red Sox, who really hadn't been serious contenders since about 1950, had come out of nowhere in 1967 to take a great Cardinals team to 7 games and it was the talk of the town. A very 1967/68 sort of song...
