When I had one, they were very important to me. Since my ex-wife chose to leave under particularly cold and ugly circumstances a few years ago, I can't say she's important to me in any way except as the mother of my children.

Frankly, her well being or her opinions on anything except the subject of my son are of no interest to me.

I wouldn't have married my wife if she wasn't the most important person in the world to me. I'm happy that I'm able to say that and truly mean it, rather than pretend that this is truth.

The big majority of people reach a point in their lives when they become aware of the need of sharing their lives with another person of the opposite sex. Marriage is the first institution created by God and through it, God meant a man and a woman to become one. Following God's guidance and provisions, marriage is one of the most fulfilling experiences possible. The spouse becomes the most important person in life and is meant to be a life long union.
