My son is only two, and at this point in my life there is no way that I could choose between my wife and he. While I love my entire family, they are without a doubt the two that will always come first.

They will become more important to me when they are big enough to mow the grass.

I've got three of them, and while there have been times when I would cheerfully have sold them for medical experiments, they have been and remain very important to me. 

of course they are one of  the most important to me . I have two now gasp!grown kids. they just turned 23 and 20. how fast they have grown! they have brought much pleasure and happiness to my life. cannot imagine my life without them.

Children are the punishment God send us for not being good children ourselves. OK, that was a joke. No other event in the life of a person is like the birth of a child. It touches deep into our selfish instinct of conservation and perpetuation. It's amazing how many and how important lessons the birth of a child teaches parents. From happy campers, we become "gods" with life and death responsibilities. Children are the best gift of life to parents. Until... well, read the father's story.
