I'm blessed with some of the greatest friends a guy could have.

Without friends, I'd be nothing.  Humans need companionship!

I have a lot of acquaintances and colleagues, but only a small number of people I would call genuine friends.

They matter a great deal to me, probably more than anyone else except my children.

I'll bet the person marking "funny" on everything sensitive doesn't have many friends. It proves they don't have much of a life.  I pity such individuals.

We all have acquaintences, but a true friend is like a gold leaf, very seldom found.

Friends are the reflections of people we sometimes wish we could be.  Some are best kept close, some are best kept at a distance - but they are certainly rewarding and necessary.

When all turn their back on you (yes, even your family) then a friend, a good friend, becomes the most important person in your life. Friends are like precious jewels that it is not easy to find, but when you do, you become the richest person in the world. For some reason, David and Jonathan comes to mind.
