I think this would be a good idea. Opinions on certain things can change and it would help with the occasional accidental ratings.

On more than a couple of occasions I have accidentally marked something by mistake, and I find that it's a little frustrating that it can't be erased. I think many of us here might be able to benefit from something like this.

Why don't we add an "Are You Sure?" verifier before the vote goes live and also have Lawrence check back in with us a month later to make sure we haven't changed our minds too? Are we maybe thinking about things a little too much?

Excellent idea. This has irritated me since back when we had helpful and unhelpful. Now I've occasionally clicked on a review in error, that I thought neither helpful, funny, nor did I agree with and been able to remove it. It shouldn't be hard to allow a second click to remove the rating.

I wish I could delete a past vote which in view of new developments and information is no longer expressing my view. Unfortunately, I cannot do that, rather, I only have the choice to change one vote for another. It would be nice to be able to withdraw my vote.
