Pouring in a beer is a great way to add liquid and a nice flavor to your chili. (Add picture)

How about bourbon instead? It's in my special recipe.

Sure, I like to drink a couple of bottles while I'm cooking it, and a couple more when I eating it.

In it? I'll pass.

Beer adds more flavor to the chili than letting it simmer in water. Its also a good time to have a beer in hand while making the chili!

Other than possibly cooking the meat in it before adding it to the chili it has no place.

I have often made chili with beer. It is really a good use for light beer, in lieu of drinking that swill.

Hmm. . .never tried it. . .and the dish can certainly be finished without it, but the intrigue alone warrants a rating. . .

Add a beer for flavor! A nice dark beer is good but I've seen people use Budweiser, too.
