There are plenty of people I disagree with morally and spiritually, but I don't think it's right to Funny button them.

This definitely shows a lack of class, but it seems to happens a lot around here. I'm not hit with this variety of funny votes as much as several other members are, but it's quite obvious that if I get a funny vote when I'm speaking against abortion, or explaining my religious beliefs, that it's just the old unhelpful trolls finding a new method to express themselves without bothering to speak up. So if I'm writing a review that I know will be seen as controversial (even though I think these reviews contain more common sense than my average review), I expect a few funny votes. It's the people who disagree with me on these topics who I want to read these reviews the most, so at least I know they read them.

Personally I find quite a few reviews about "strong morals" to be patently absurd.

If they make me laugh, they get a FUNNY.

A horrible reason, since when are strong morals funny. If you find morals to be funny then you have real issues.

Many here are offended when they read things they would rather not read, because it goes against their moral values and convictions. Evidently, when someone gets a sensitive nerve touched, is not funny. But they still rate the review as funny just to make themselves feel better and less guilty. Incidentally, they despise an action or attitude they themselves are practicing. After all, he who stands for nothing, will fall for anything.

Update: see what I mean. I was dead serious in my review, yet it took only 35 seconds to get not one but two funny votes.

Only when they are so strong that they are ridiculous, for example: all jaywalkers should be punished with testicular electrocution, because the bible tells me so.
