04/23/2008 | A hellish film that crawled out of the primordial ooze to infest theatres.
A smug, smarmy chick-flick with utterly repulsive characters, allegedly happening during the magic 2004 season of the Red Sox World Series.
That the cast was actually allowed on the field to film during the post game celebrations after the fourth game victory boggles my mind.
I have visions of the old Sox hard cases that won championships in the early 20th century, and all the others who never got there, looking down from baseball valhalla and swearing oaths of vengeance.
