magellan's reviews cover a wide variety of subjects and show a large number of interests. His travel and cultural reviews are particularly fascinating and flavorful, and I've personally recieved some excellent watering hole recommendations from him.
In my view he's not particularly provocative, in that he seldom pokes sticks at things, but he's very capable of body-slamming idiocy in whatever form it raises its head.
