A mediocre Woody Allen movie from the his 'Mia Farrow and Allen: A Year in the Life of Neurotic New Yorkers' period. By far the most interesting part of Hannah was Max von Sydow's perfomance as an aging, egomaniacal, self-absorbed artist unable to disengage from a failing relationship with a woman half his age. Together with Michael Caine, MVS was also a nice change from the revolving cast of B-list New York actors that stared in all of Woody Allen's movies of that time.
