I agree with CanadaSucks that this isn't a great comedy, but there is something very likable about Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay. John Cho and Kal Penn are a solid comedic team, and the supporting cast was pretty good for a low budget comedy. The two female leads are gorgeous, the Colton Graham character played a stellar douche, and Rob Corddry was great as the clueless Homeland Security Agent. Neil Patrick Harris was the highlight of the movie of course with his prolonged cameo. However, I also liked the surprise appearances by Beverly D'Angelo as the whorehouse madam and Christopher Meloni(credited as Reverend Clyde Stanky) as the KKK Wizard. There were some nice, memorable scenes, despite the fact that not every joke was a success. Overall though I think Harold and Kumar is a worthy sequel to the original. It certainly won't win any awards or reception from critics, but it will easily draw in viewers on late night cable for years.

Unapologetic. Vulgar. Un-pc in a way that few Hollywood movies dare to speak of. . .but I didn't find it as funny as the original film. Despite terrific stabs at racism, almost-FBI-but-not-as-talented-homeland-security-types, hypocrisy concerning drugs, and crude sexual humor more than a few jokes fell flat for me. Still, the guys are so likeable you wind up not disliking such a film. And the out-of-the-closet Neil Patrick Harris playing a drug-addicted hetero-monster is quite hilarious. I should give this one a 3. . .but the heart rules the mind.

Funny in a college humor sort of way. Harold & Kumar, sent to Guantanamo Bay and jailed because they were thought to be terrorists, escape, and wind up searching for help in Texas, as well as for a couple of girls. Doogie Howser plays a major role in their escape. I was cracking up quite a lot throughout, however my buddy who saw their earlier White Castle movie was "disappointed" - "too much of the same jokes" and "too unrealistic".
