 | oscargamblesfro (76) 04/28/2008 | A 2 time .400 hitter and Hall of Famer who played the bulk of his career for this team from 1915-1927, one of the best players in the AL from about 1916-1922, an eye injury turned him into merely a pretty good player after that. A good fielding first baseman with lots of speed, more of a singles/ doubles/ triples hitter, with around 100 career homers- apretty similar player would be Ichiro Suzuki except in position. Rather easily the greatest player in the history of this usually dreadful extinct team, somewhat overrated at the time, but one of the better players in the league during the years mentioned above. I'm thinking of making weblists of players for teams that don't exist anymore, and for some weird reason I've always liked this club.
