A big man for his time, Jacobson was a decent hitting outfielder with a little power, and some speed. He cracked the 200 hit mark in consecutive seasons as the lively ball era began, and followed that up with a few more productive years.
Unfortunately, age was catching up with him and he got shipped off to the Red Sox in the late twenties, which was then a real horror-show of a team, before fading away in two short stints with the A's and Indians.
