If the numerical value is added to each review, a feature that allows users to log the last review number before shutting the computer off for the night will make it easier to follow the treads by starting the reading from the next number. (Add picture)

I guess, but its kind of in the "if you really want to" category. I'm not much concerned that I miss anything on here overnight or if I'm gone for a few days.

Log in, check for new messages, check the last couple pages of recent reviews, check for new things to rate, and thats about it.

I'm reading this as "easily be able to read new reviews posted since the last use of the site". This is actually a pretty good suggestion.

This isn't a terrible idea, but it would add clutter that I don't feel is needed. Missing a few reviews probably wouldn't hurt anybody.

Please, read the item description. It's good to be able to see which review was last read before signing off for the night and then use the number to start the day reading the reviews posted in the absence. It can also be used as a reference point when someone has to stay off RIA for a few days or so.
