Because my brother told me so. And because back in the day he skatd with Mike McGill once in a friend's backyard on their halfpipe. And I LOVE the McTwist!

Yeah that Jason Jesse re dos were pretty damn nice. I've always like Santa Cruz ever since i got one of the cursive logo team decks that was spelled out with the smoke of a joint. Great shape and the wood was damn good. Held up for a solid three weeks which is more than most for me. And something about Independent trucks and Santa Cruz just kinda go together like pb&j. http://www.utilityboardsupply.com/get_list_183 .htm

You little teenage fags make me laugh, you blame the boards for you're lack of skill. I started skating in the 80s. There were no half pipes or pools around so me and my friends street skated before the term was even used. We had to use the dead flat vert decks of the time that hardly had any tail and still managed to ollie and kickflip. You're fucking lucky to have the boards you have today, and remember that the difference between a $45 deck and a $28 one is the graphics and some "pros" name on the bottom of it. Oh yeah don't fucking bad mouth Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz boards ROCK!! You can not get better! I have 3 and there the Best! They are supper good for pop and killer for park and ramps! Every thing is good about them. The next board you want is a Santa Cruz!
Adam1859 07/25/2008
Santa cruz .. what can i say AMAZING as everyone is saying these decks are a little on the heavy side but that doesn't matter people. These decks have amazing pop and they keep it (some decks lose there pop after a while). They have a nice concave great for flip tricks i got mine as my second deck it has lasted me 9 months and still going strong. One thing to watch out for though is razor tail but if your careful you'll be fine with it.

i got a powerply save us series santa cruz deck. it is a little heavy but it made up for it with great pop. it also has very good concave and i liked this deck better than my plan B. i learned to varial kickflip and ollie a 5 set with this board
Wolfe 12/02/2007
This is an over all good board. I am indeed a novice at skateboarding and this is a great decks to learn on. It has a good amount of pop and a nice concave. Its a little heavy but it doesnt make a big difference if your just starting to learn. It has stood up to constant landings on 3 and 4 stairs and lots of bails on 5 and six stairs. As long as you dont razor tail your board this bad boy is not going to chip. The other thing on these decks and how smooth they glide on a rail during a board slide! GEEZ did that scare me! It helps if your just learning how to do slides because you dont have to go to fast to go down a rail. If your looking for your 2nd or 3rd deck this is the way to go. I have had mine for about 2 monthes and it has been great. Seriously consider this on of your new deck.

my man joe is gettin one of these cause this dude at endless grind said that santa cruz is one of the most durable brands out there that also has good pop and i think the graphics are awesome, and ELEMENT can kiss my anal anyone u ask says element sucks cause they break so easy and they have no concave or pop They are the WORST DAMN BOARDS EVER MADE NO ONE THATS SANE WOULD WASTE THEIR FRIKKIN MONEY ON SuCH A PEICE OF DUNG.

too heavy
SkateElement 11/23/2003
These boards basiclly suck. You guys that say Ohh they are great don't know what you are talking about. These boards are way to heavy. Who cares about the pop and the concave if they are already to heavy to skate.GO ELEMENT!
Sackednuts 09/05/2003
alright heres the low down. these boards are a bit more heavy but the powerpro decks come with a warranty for 30 days against snapping. i have had my power pro for almost 2 months. thats the longest ive had a skate for a very long time. If you dont trust me well than too bad your missing out on a very good local company. Skateboarding began on the streets. Dont let it die on the strrets. AVOID THE MALL!

Malvin 01/23/2001
I've had 2 Santa Cruz boards. One early 80's deck that was a bullet vintage, an awesome board. It was so strong, I rode that thing for almost 5 years before I got a new Santa Cruz deck. Nothing compares to Rob Roskopp decks which aren't listed on this list.
ebergst 01/03/2001
Santa Cruz skateboards offers an excellent line of boards and trucks. S.C. boards last longer and will not snap on the big drops. The clothes are pretty weak but the location makes up for that.
Second place 12/19/2000
I gave these skatesboards only a four because bing a technical skater, I need a thinner board and SC boards come pretty wide. A plus is the 8 ply wood gives it pop for a good amount of time before it loses it. I am personally a fan of the slick bottom boards.
Skater4Life 11/27/2000
I personally own a Santa Cruz long board and a trick deck. They both keep their pop for days. Their long boards have good flex for riding on bumpy roads.
aarakozie 11/24/2000
I didn't like the feel. The graphics were cool but it was too heavy. They're fast and cool to cruise with, but not for tricks.
holliex 11/21/2000
I used to live in Santa Cruz so I love the atmosphere and the way people treat people. And the skateboards and all the skating gear is really awesome.
babyluv 11/21/2000
Well known company with quality products. Large variety. Need to expand products (rollerblades).
DirtyDingusMcG ee 11/17/2000
Santa Cruz skateboards are excelente! They keep their pop and stiffness, and are pretty sturdy boards. It's nice to ride a local board too. Santa Cruz also has a good variety of clothing. They have good taste.
valhalla 11/14/2000
Good board with good pop, but way overpriced. Good logo.
sk8boy 11/14/2000
Santa Cruz skateboards are worth every penny. The best wood in the business enables their decks to keep their pop longer and their rigidity forever. The price is the element that makes them worth it. For about $35 you get the graphics, pop, strength and warranty of a much more expensive board.
Schm"e"tty 11/10/2000
Santa Cruz makes the best skateboards in the world. Their boards are way too expensive. Their boards are so durable and you can do any combination of tricks and not worry.
malbu 11/08/2000
If you are an older skater you will appreciate this company. Santa Cruz is one of the first.
jtimmerman 11/08/2000
This brand is popular with my friends. The style is right for me. They make great long boards. They are fairly local. I could go to Santa Cruz on the weekend.
wighty 10/31/2000
Santa Cruz skateboards are one of the originals in the business and have always built good equipment and sponsored many riders.
