Point Break 5

Point Break and Road House are the two best Swayze movies. Swayze actually was a half-decent actor in this film, but maybe that's just by comparison. Keanu Reeves is so bad he makes anyone look good. Anyway, the film is pretty awesome. It's a Good summer Popcorn movie.

Point Break 2

In spite of the obviously natural combination of surfing and bank robbery (?) - this one just didn't have all that much to say to me. In fact I would go so far as to say that it was almost pure cheese. I'm guessing in the limburger family.

Point Break 4

Stupid, cliched and foolish, but quite a lot of fun, nonetheless. A ridiculous script, a juvenile plot, and some over the top acting combine to provide a pretty solid piece of entertainment that even the addition of Keanu Reeves can't screw up.

Point Break 5

Swayze at his mystical, magical, charismatic best. Out of all the Swayze movies, the risk taking, philosphizing, bank robbing, Bodhi character probably suited him the most. And with Swayze carrying the day, the directors had the luxury of putting any old stiff across from him as the detective - in fact, they chose Keanu Reeves.

All joking aside, Point Break was a pretty classic early nineties period piece. You had all kinds of visual action - fights, sky diving, bank robbing, beach, babes - and the plot wasn't half bad. You even had a guest appearance from RHCP as evil, punk rock surfers. Along with Top Gun, I consider Point Break the definitive late 80's / early 90's summer blockbuster.
