Sector 9 makes pretty decent boards for beginners...i've bombed hills doing 30+ on my old Kommi and pulled some nice drift sessions with it and was straight after. I wouldn't recommend them for more advanced sessions though and the bearings are sealed so its a bitch to try and clean them. The only thing left to do is, you guessed it, go out and buy more. I have a Rayne Hellcat now and it is one of the sickest rides i've felt, next to the Landyatchz evo...just because speed boards are my fancy. All in all, if your just starting to longboard Sector 9 isn't a bad choice at all (Go with a responsive board like a Kommi or any of the Sidewinders). But you'll feel the need for change after you gain some experience and want to take on steeper slopes and do something with them.

ok to start out with i have ridden many many boards from the best to the worst. And all i have to say is that sector 9 flat out no questions asked is the WORST brand horrible equipment (except the randals). and to anyone out there who wants to give me crap abought my statement do the following A. Bomb a hill at racing speed 40+ B. have an intense slide session C. Bandage up your arm head and any other part of your body (If your not dead). if you want a good board I recommend is a landyachtz evo or a flexdeck or kebeck anything but sector 9 and king (they are ultra cheap)

Are you guys freakin' sick in the head? Sector Noobs! Sector 9 needs to stop being so cheap and start investing in proper manufacture and parts for their boards. Maybe then they wouldn't be looked down on by REAL longboarders. Dig up your crappiest bearings, wheels, and trucks. Slap them on an average board with a trendy logo, bam, you got a Sector 9.

i thought sector 9 only made long boards....

From what I have seen in Longboards, Sector 9 is by far the best manufacturer. They have the best shapes, wheels, and bearings. I personally have a Sector 9 made up of ply and fiberglass, it is almost better than surfing a real wave. Although they are expensive I beleive they are by far the best.

Sector 9 skateboards are well designed, and well built. Their decks come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes to fit your personal needs. Both of my boards have taken all of the abuse I have given them, including being hit by a truck. I would definitely recommend a Sector 9 if you are looking for a long board.

The best skateboards in the world. They have a unique shape that offers space to stand, and a very light wood overall. In my opinion, they stay together longest.

This board sucks! I had it for like 2 weeks and it broke. It snapped in half and no more skateboarding.
