It is not a question for me as a smoker. Lighter is always with me. At the camp time, smokers are of high demand, since... they have lighters and they can drive away mosquitos with their smoke.

An emergency lighter and matches should be always ready in the water resistant bag.

There might be some people that have a self igniting stove that they use for camping. However, I know I light mine with a match or lighter. I also know that camping isn't really fun unless a campfire is involved. So I will definitely make sure I have something to light a fire with.

Must have fire, even if your food doesn't need it. Warmth and protection, plus campfire stories are fun. :)
