the 1910's and early 1920's, pretty similar to contemporary players
like Harry Hooper as a hitter, or as a base stealer Max Carey. The
kind of player who normally hit about .280 with no power but a valuable
one nonetheless. Milan was very , very fast and led the league in
steals more than once.
