etc. An all right bat, hit .300 several times, but it was an empty .300
with little to no power. Kind of similar to someone like Bob
Boone or Benito Santiago minus Santiago's occasional 20 home runs or so
power . Arguably the worst catcher in the Hall of Fame- an above
average catcher, but miles behind contemporaries like Cochrane or
Dickey, though he might be, say, the third best American League catcher
of the 1930's.
