One of the brighter characters, although that's not immediately apparent. Gets good lines. Just can't say them.

Though not as funny as Bugs, he's really funny when he is Daffy's sidekick.

Is it just me, or was this pig really not funny? I've seen a lot of Porky Pig cartoons in my younger days, I don't remember laughing then and I sure don't laugh now. Porky's were good only when he teamed up with Daffy, it seems.

Porky Pig has starred n a lot of cartoons. I have only a few. I did not like the early Porky. but the cartoons he starred in were okay.

Porky Pig started out as the do-gooder of Warner Brothers and always seemed to blindly fall into some level of trouble that ultimately made him a hero. Later he was paired up with the wacky Daffy Duck who became Porky’s main thorn in the side. Over the years Porky kind of remained the quite mild tempered pig just trying to enjoy life’s pleasures when we would ultimately be driven into a psychopathic rage over Daffy’s annoyance or even Bugs smugness from time to time. He never really developed beyond his naive character. I will say that his role as Fryer Tuck with Daffy as Robin Hood was a break from his traditional roles and was one of his better toons.
