I've never heard of him, so obviously he isn't a good choice as far as helping McCain and people being comfortable with voting for McCain and Burr. Huckabee should be the choice.

Has been mentioned in passing by McCain, so he should be in consideration. In an October 2006 interview with Hardball host Chris Matthews on MSNBC, he named Burr, Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Sen. John Thune of North Dakota and Sen. John Sununu of New Hampshire as possibilities. Burr is a staunch conservative, from the south, relatively young, a good campaigner and was on board with McCain early on.
