Eric Cantor - Representative from Virginia 3

Currently this is one of the big names being thrown out there. Cantor is a up and comer within the party, and if he stays in the House he might have a chance at being Republican leader. But being VP is an even bigger career jump, one that can ultimately lead to the Presidency. That sure beats being Minority leader!

I don't think he will be picked, but some are supporting him because he's a moderate conservative from an important swing state, Virginia. He won't deliver the state, but he wouldn't be a terrible candidate either. There are better though.
