I was pretty young when he came to Texas, so I guess my memories of Jon Matlack are better than his actual numbers. Still, he had a couple of pretty decent seasons for the Rangers. If he had better run support, at least one of the seasons would have produced a better win/loss record. In any event, it was good to have the big lefty in the rotation for awhile.
